My guest, author, painter, photographer, and founder of A Raw Movement, Nemanja Kovač Barbarossa, dreamed he woke up in the African flatlands. There was a question of whether to build or buy a house there, but, more urgently, whether a green snake was going to bite him. Well, did it? And what does the dream mean? Listen as we explore and discover.
Born in Serbia and based in Rome, Italy, Nemanja is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans painting, photography, writing, and symbolic movements. His book, Visions from the Unconscious, turns the unconscious into a live conversation about art, healing, and human creativity in the age of AI.
Nemanja is the founder of A Raw Movement (arawnonciuiosness), an artistic movement built on the idea that art does not need rational meaning to hold value, treating human imagination as its own form of order.
His paintings are abstract and symbolic contemporary in style. Nemanja dedicates his photography practice to documenting the intangible, and his writing to exploring the imagination.
Join us as we explore and interpret Nemanja’s dream before we flow into our conversation about his life and work.
