Leigh is my guest with three recurring dream themes that have haunted him for many years so intensely that he often wakes up believing the frightening dream is actually happening. He’ll jump from bed, choking, or leap out of bed terrified that spiders are hiding in his sheets.
In a short while he calms down and realises the choking or spiders were in his dream, but he wonders why the choking and fear seem so real when he wakes that he’s fooled again, and again, each time the dream recurs.
In today’s show, I explain what is happening here, and why, and then we look at the three recurring dream themes, interpret them, and relate them to Leigh’s waking life so he can gain useful insight and do dream alchemy to transform beliefs and fears that are limiting his waking life outcomes.
The three dream themes are related: there’s the slo-mo fight, the Jekyll and Hyde spiders (Leigh has no problems with handling spiders in his waking life, but those dream spiders are terrifying), and the choking.
